HUD
was born Anthony Hudson in Memphis, TN in April of 71’. A rap artist
who loves performing, HUD began entertaining in early 86’ at talent
shows. His mother, who fell upon hard times while HUD was young, was a
former background singer for the likes of B. B. King and other popular
Memphis recording artists and is credited for introducing HUD to the profession
of music.
HUD’s
professional career began in the early 90’s after moving to Washington
State with appearances on two of the NW’s popular Hip-hop compilation
CDs. This time period also marked several noteworthy accomplishments including
first place at the Rapper’s Delight showcase triumphing
over 50 competitors and performances with such A-list artists as SWV,
2-Short, Redman, Kid Frost, Digital Underground,
and Tony Toni Tone up and down the West Coast and Canada.
